Dress Codes: What to Wear
| Venue type | Men | Women |
|---|---|---|
| Club (Theatro, Nouba) | Collared shirt, smart trousers, dress shoes | Dress, heels, elegant outfit |
| Dinner-show (Eden, Jad Mahal) | Smart casual — shirt, trousers | Dress or smart separates |
| Rooftop lounge (Sky 5) | Smart casual — no sportswear | Smart casual, comfortable heels |
Never wear: Shorts, flip-flops, sportswear, or overly casual attire. Marrakech clubs enforce dress codes strictly — you will be turned away.
How to Get In
- Reservations: Essential for dinner-shows (Eden, Jad Mahal). Book 2–3 days ahead during peak season.
- VIP tables: Book through your concierge. Tables include bottle service and skip the queue. From €250.
- Guest lists: Some clubs offer free entry before midnight via concierge guest list. Ask your concierge.
- Walk-in: Possible at most venues before 11pm. After that, expect queues and possible rejection.
Practical Tips
- Transport: Book a chauffeur for the evening. Taxis are unreliable after midnight, and driving after drinking is not an option.
- Cash: Some venues prefer cash for entry and tips. Bring €50–€100 in small notes.
- Timing: Marrakech nightlife starts late. Dinner at 9pm, club at 11:30pm, peak at 1am.
- Groups: For groups of 6+, book a VIP table. Walk-in groups are often split or turned away.
- Safety: Marrakech is generally safe at night in Hivernage and Gueliz. Stick to licensed venues and use chauffeur transport.
